Public notice is hereby given of a Joint Personnel/Facilities/Technology Committee Meeting at 9:00 am on Friday, November 1st, 2024 at the 9-1-1 District Office at 3404 Amnicola Highway, Chattanooga. Visitors must be physically present to attend the meetings. Persons requesting to speak at the meetings must give notice no less than three (3) working days prior to the date of the meeting by calling 423-622-1911 or emailing [email protected]. All speakers and visitors must adhere to procedures and protocols as established by the District. Rules are available on the Board Meetings page at www.hamiltontn911.gov/board-meetings

Barbara Loveless Appointed Director of Operations
Chattanooga, TN, July 31, 2023: - At a special called meeting of the Board of Directors today, Barbara R. Loveless was confirmed as the new Director of Operations for the Hamilton County 9-1-1 Emergency Communications District. Loveless has over 17 years of experience in Emergency Communications as a Telecommunicator, Floor Supervisor and most recently as a Training & Quality Assurance Specialist. She is an Emergency Number Professional (ENP), a Registered Public Safety Leader (RPL), has completed the National Emergency Number Association’s Center Manager Certification Program (CMCP) in addition to numerous other Public Safety and Emergency Communications certifications.

Jeffery D. Carney Confirmed as Executive Director of the Hamilton County 9-1-1 Emergency Communications District
Chattanooga, TN, April 19, 2023: - The Board of Directors of the Hamilton County 9-1-1 Emergency Communications District voted in a special called meeting Wednesday to confirm Jeff Carney as Executive Director of the District, effective immediately. Carney has worked with the District for more than 30 years and has been serving as acting executive director when John Stuermer retired from that position last December

Hamilton County 9-1-1 Celebrates National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week
Chattanooga, TN, April 10, 2023: - The Hamilton County 9-1-1 Emergency Communications District is celebrating the second full week of April (April 9-15) as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. This week, sponsored by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International and celebrated annually, honors the thousands of men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and render life-saving assistance to the world’s citizens.

Stuermer to Retire from the 9-1-1 Center
Chattanooga, TN, November 28, 2022: - John Stuermer, who has been the executive director of the Hamilton County 9-1-1 Emergency Communications District since 2004, has announced his intention to retire, effective December 13, 2022. The District’s Board of Directors chose the current operations director, Jeff Carney, to serve as acting executive director, starting December 1, 2022, while a search is conducted to select a permanent executive director.

Hamilton County 911 Telecommunicators Deploy to Florida
Chattanooga, TN, September 30, 2022: - A group of Hamilton County 911 Telecommunicators will be deploying to Naples, Florida today in response to a request for mutual aid assistance after the state was hit hard by Hurricane Ian. The six telecommunicators from Hamilton County 911 will be joined by 16 other telecommunicators from other counties in Tennessee.

Hamilton County 9-1-1 Unified Emergency Communications Center Provides Citizens with Community Feedback Service for 9-1-1 Calls
Chattanooga, TN, November 3, 2021: - Residents of Hamilton County will be some of the first in the state to use a new citizen satisfaction and feedback solution after a call for service to Hamilton County 9-1-1 Unified Emergency Communications Center.
